Vivace Select Choir 2024 Video

The much anticipated annual release of the MKS Studio Vivace Select Choir video has come to fruition. The creative production of “Jesus, Thank You” was captured in the newly renovated downtown Omaha setting. It can be found at this link. MKS Studio has many aspects of instruction and opportunities in areas of art and creative production for parents who have chosen to homeschool their family, and the Vivace Select Choir is one part of those offerings.

I appreciate the opportunity once again to handle all the audio production for this year’s video, from on-location recording of the band, a second recording in that same place for the choir and soloists, and then doing the final mixing and mastering for the video sync. Congratulations on another release that showcases your hard work and training, and desire to honor and serve the One Creative God who made us in His image.

Behind the Scenes for “Jesus, Thank You” Production

During the production for this year’s MKS Studio Vivace Select Choir recording, a short video was made showcasing my involvement in the recording process. I appreciate the reveal and the opportunity to be one part of the MKS Studio educational offerings. Two of the students (brothers, who made this video) also stopped by Tesco Productions for a few hours and hopefully picked up a few things about a recording studio. They were sharing some ideas with me as well about their recording ventures, computers, software and the “new” stuff us “older” folks can sometimes find more challenging (and it’s second nature to them quite often). Thank you.

A Special 50th

This month found a “seasoned” recording being made as a commemoration of a special day – a 50th Wedding Anniversary. Since it’s a surprise and won’t be presented to the other party until June, I can’t reveal many details other than to say it was very special being invited into their celebration. The husband sang two old love songs which I’m sure will be very touching and special when they’re heard by his wife and family. More information once I’m free to fully disclose.

Steve Schmidt singing at Tesco Productions

(Update 6/24) As promised I waited until Steve let me know his wife had heard the songs. Here’s a short quote from his email: “My wife absolutely loved it. It exceeded my expectations…” What a beautiful privilege to be part of special moments and memories in other people’s lives. Thank you for wrapping this present full circle, and Happy 50th. Congratulations!
