Next Chapter Unfolding for One For All Musical Theater
This month Kim Moore began laying out the vision for the next chapter of the newly-formed One For All Musical Theater. In March and April we reported on the production and performance of Cinderella. It was all a job well done and the next phase is in its beginning stages. Kim feels called to produce the soundtrack for the musical drama and make it available to other amateur theaters around the country. So keyboard parts are being performed by Kim, arrangements have been made for Tim Tyler to add orchestration, and drums have been recorded for three songs. The drummer, Nick Swoboda is part of a long musical history family in Omaha, with a music store and performers in various capacities.
This brings up a future event – next Spring’s performance of Esther. Two of the songs already begun are for the pre-show of this engagement. I’ll keep you posted as we progress, and if next year’s show keeps up the momentum (which I’m sure it will), it promises to be a great one.
Tesco Productions Engineers Another Year of Home Instead Senior Care’s Convention
This past week I again had the privilege of running audio in the main ballroom of the CenturyLink Center in Omaha. It was the annual international convention for Home Instead Senior Care, headquartered in Omaha. It’s always good to be warmly greeted by the Home Instead office staff and meet up with “the old crew”. It takes a bit to update myself on operating the console I only see once a year, but it’s soon underhand and we try our best to provide a flawless presentation for the attendees.
Each year I come away with a renewed sense of how much I appreciate the mindset and service of Home Instead Senior Care. They are a highly respected leader in providing in-home care for our seniors who would rather be home than living in a nursing care facility. There’s education, interaction and celebration during the event, and spring made a pretty good showing this year so we could walk between the venue and hotels – which was definitely welcome after our extended winter.
