Home Instead Senior Care Hosts Annual International Convention

Home Instead Senior Care sound setup
Ready for Home Instead Senior Care General Session

This past week the Omaha CenturyLink Center was buzzing with people from around the globe for the annual Home Instead Senior Care convention.  Tesco Productions was again tapped to provide the live sound engineering for all the events in the primary CenturyLink Center ballroom.  From general sessions of education, news and focus, to celebrations of accomplishments and special care giver awards the ballroom was an ever-changing venue of activities.  Home Instead Senior Care provides assistance of varying levels to help keep seniors in their homes rather than being forced to move into a care facility.  Owners Paul and Lori Hogan began the Omaha-based company nineteen years ago and have overseen the company’s expansion around the world.

An evening to celebrate.

I’m always grateful to be called on to provide this audio service for the event company Sonburst Communication, to meet up with the extended tech crew, meet the Home Instead Senior Care home office personnel again and to be reminded of the role they play to this special group of people – our senior citizens.

Lyndsey Hrabik Records for Contest

Lyndsey Hrabik was in the studio recently to record “Fill A Heart” (by Tori Kelly) as a contest submission being conducted by the author.  The winner will designate a sizable donation from Tori to a food bank of his/her choice.  Lyndsey’s rendition of the song can be viewed on youtube.  Lyndsey was in the Tesco Productions studio a while back and recorded several other songs with keyboard as well.  Nice going Lyndsey and commendations on your effort to support meeting a great need in our community.

SANDS Hosts Spring Banquet

On the evening of April 19th a number of folks gathered around food and fundraising for the SANDS organization (Sportsmen Assisting the Nation’s Disabled Sportsmen).  My good friend Dave Burgess (SANDS president) planned the event to bring participants and supporters of SANDS together to celebrate the on-going efforts of the volunteers, donors and directors to enable those who need assistance to get out fishing, hunting and other outdoor activities.  We were treated to a show of fancy roping, had opportunity to make silent bids on many donated items and also bid during a live auction conducted by Auction Solutions Inc.  The NE Game & Parks was represented as well as Whitetails Unlimited.  I was asked to provide a portable sound system to facilitate the announcements and auction – which I was glad to do.  It’s trying to be Spring so let’s all think about getting out of our enclosures and spending more time out in God’s creation – and not forget those who can’t just walk out by themselves.
